Each self-guided holiday includes one hire car with one named driver. You choose who is to be your chosen driver. You simply need to ensure that they are also on the holiday booking, are over the age of 25 years old and hold a valid EU/UK driving licence. The driving licence must be clean and have been held for a minimum of 3 years.

Please note: If you hold a licence which was issued outside of the EU/UK (i.e US) you may be required to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP). This is an online application for a small fee.

Yes. As mentioned your holiday package includes one named driver however, if you wish to add a second driver to the car hire this can be done at the hire desk in resort for an additional fee. Simply ensure that your second driver is over 25 years old and holds a valid EU driving licence. The driving licence must be clean and have been held for a minimum of 3 years.

• Your Driving Licence (please ensure it is valid and your details are correct)
• Photographic ID such as your passport
• Your DVLA code (This has replaced the paper counter part of your driving licence and is generated online at www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence )
• A credit card with available credit to cover the excess charges.
• Your booking confirmation documents.

Yes, all our car hire includes a payable excess.  You can opt to reduce the excess if you wish at the hire desk when you collect the car.  This usually incurs a small daily fee. The excess charge is payable only in the event of an incident similarly to any insurance excess, however, you will need to ensure you have a valid credit card with available funds to the amount of the excess detailed. A pre-authorisation will be made on the card during the collection procedure. This is common practice and is not a payment but a temporary hold on funds to ensure they are available in the event that they are required. This must be made on a credit card in the name of the driver. Please note debit cards can not be accepted. The excess charges vary depending on the vehicle hired and the country in which it is hired.

Unfortunately no you can’t. The hire desk needs to see proof of your eligibility to drive before letting you behind the wheel.

Fuel is not included in the cost of the car hire. The car should have a full tank of fuel upon collection to allow you to head on your way and should also be returned with a full fuel tank.

Yes, in Europe most countries have toll roads which are payable as you pass through. They are simple to use and you pay for the amount of time you have been on the toll road. It is worth keeping a small amount of change handy to cover these.
